dreaming of my holiday table with West Elm

October 12, 2010

Truly enjoying this mix of white and gold setting, graphic design paired with the below wooden boxes to be used as salad bowls instead of jewelry boxes.

Horn serving bowls and appetizers paired with the clean white platters below.

I love these vintage-style perfume bottles, but would instead use them as multiple vases on the dining table. They are dainty, and would not take up alot of room, but are sure to add some glamour and style to the table with a single stem of a white peony in each bottle. For arrangements around the home, the white, modern vases below will fit the style just perfectly.

And for bar ware, I adore this set with its vintage, and organic appeal. Mixing gold and silver, absolutely – ensuring it is blended just so with the rest of the table. With this setting, yes – I love it!

I am dreaming of my holiday dining table setting inspired here by the tones West Elm highlighted so wonderfully..caramel,  gold, white (lots of it), steel and organic wooden textures… my very favorite palette. One thing I adore, is finding objects that may have not necessarily what they were designed for, and using them in another fashion, like the perfume bottles and the wooden bowls above.

Would love to know what items you use for other purposes than originally designed for.
